Bauerfeind Academy merges theory and practice
„Best conditions for our partners“, 07/09/2007
CTO Götz Bayer inaugurated the Bauerfeind Academy at the headquarters of Bauerfeind AG in Zeulenroda/East Thuringia on July 6. Not only will internal and external instructors communicate technical know-how in new the training facility, course participants will also have best conditions in the integrated workshop facilities to learn practical skills for the application of products and medical supply systems.
The participants of the 2nd Image 3D User Meeting were among the first specialized medical supply retailers to see the new training center. In addition to the quality partners among retailers, the continuing education and qualification courses organized by the Academy will address physicians, physiotherapists and students at vocational training schools and colleges, in addition to Bauerfeind employees.
„In view of the challenges of the health market, we want and must expand the range of qualification and further education courses for our network partners speedily“, Götz Bayer said at a modest opening ceremony. The Bauerfeind Academy, for which the kick-off has come, brings theory and practice together under one roof. „This is a decisive advantage for those who acquire technical knowledge, get hands-on experience of what they have learnt – and while doing so get a direct feedback from competent instructors and specialists“, the Chief Technology Officer of Bauerfeind AG said. „We have best conditions for our partners here in Zeulenroda.“
In focus are more than 1,000 medical supply dealers in Germany who as quality partners under the program by the same name ensure quality in the supply of medical products to patients. Training courses and continuing education events are an important component of the joint marketing activities.
The Bauerfeind Academy has several seminar rooms with modern presentation equipment and PC work places, a fully furnished workshop, including a truss-maker’s workplace, two equipment rooms, one plaster and modelling room and a fitting room for patients. For training in measuring technology, one section was equipped with the Bauerfeind measuring systems Image 3D, ScanCam and MediLogic as well as eight computer workplaces. A treadmill is available for movement analysis and gait checks.
Like everywhere at Bauerfeind, the construction and equipment of the rooms followed ecological aspects. It goes without saying that the facilities of the Bauerfeind Academy are barrier free.
