GenuTrain A3 nominated for National Design Prize, 06/01/2006
Last year the knee support GenuTrain A3 from Bauerfeind received the designation of DESIGN PLUS Material Vision, a title signifying innovative manufacturing techniques and materials combined with outstanding design. Now GenuTrain A3 has been nominated for the German National Design Prize for 2007. The National Design Prize is awarded by the Federal Minister of Industry and Technology. The partner is the Council for Design, a world-wide leading knowledge center for communication and knowledge transfer in the area of design. A requirement for product participation is nomination by Industry Ministries and senators from the states or the federal ministry. Additionally the product must have already won a national or international award. The prize is presented annually at the Consumer Goods Trade Show in Frankfurt. The GenuTrain A3 design was developed by the design team Rokitta Product and Brand Aesthetics together with developers at Bauerfeind AG. The knee support is a product in the Train Active Supports line and proves itself to be part of the entire Train product line by adhering to the corporate design of the Bauerfeind brand. Function-specific design, consequential key imagery and coloring communicate the medical effect for health professionals, orthopedic specialists and patients. The supports thereby maintain recognizability and are enhanced with special design elements according to product and function.
