Bauerfeind AG

Girls’ Day at Bauerfeind not just for girls, 04/27/2006

As a sign of equal opportunity, the girls brought their male classmates to Bauerfeind AG this year – on Girls’ Day 21 male and female students from the Zeulenroda Roetlein School had their first glimpse into working life. The focus of the tour through production was the profession of machine/equipment operator and mechanic, with advanced training.

Both Thomas Schmerler, master craftsman and trainer in the circular knitting department, and Heike Stojanek from the personnel department, emphasized that the quality of the training programs is a top priority at Bauerfeind AG. Thereby the company also satisfies its business responsibilities. Currently, 38 young people are in sales and industrial training programs at Bauerfeind.
