BERKEMANN WINDOW DISPLAY CONTEST

Hula Dancers and Film Reels, 06/12/2006

During the months of April and May, Berkemann held a window display contest for its customers. It wasn’t easy to choose a winner from the many creative entries, but we finally chose the following decorating ideas:
The third prize goes to the “Saalfelder Shoe House” for a Hawaiian summer theme with hula dancers. For this idea, owner Ina Zäpernick won a 3-course meal for 2.
Second place goes to the shoe store “Naturally Comfortable” in Pasewalk. With film posters, reels and an old projector, along with Berkemann shoes, Reinhart Schmidt told a story with his decorated window display. So the prize – a visit to a musical – fit this window display theme perfectly.

The first prize goes to Schloss Holte-Stutenbrock. Johannes Tölke decorated his shoe store with not only old gym shoes in size 135, but also with small ducks and yellow flowers, which matched the theme of his Berkemann poster. Even though his window didn’t offer the ideal conditions for decorating, Mr. Tölke successfully created a spring like, friendly window display. He received a Wellness Weekend for 2 people at the Seehotel Zeulenroda.

All of the other creative entries will receive a small thank you gift for participating.
