More awareness for the feet, 06/07/2006
On June 1, 2006, Munich Orthopedists Dr. Christian Kinast and Prof. Dr. Johannes Hamel initiated the first Munich Foot Day with the goal of imparting information about feet. About 800 visitors braved the rain and found the way to the new practice to learn about the topic.
In addition to the press conference and the high-profile attended TV discussion session, the accompanying foot trade show offered attendees many opportunities to look at their own feet under a magnifying glass. At the Bauerfeind booth, visitors could quickly and precisely have the pressure points under their feet determined using the digital foot pressure measuring system MediLogic. The medical supply store Samberger in Munich offered further advice on foot care through appropriate insoles. Those who still didn’t have tired feet in the evening went to the after-party in a Munich disco, as befitting the end of Foot Day.
