Bauerfeind Quality Partner Advisory Board starts work

Mouthpiece and Motivator, 04/07/2008

Over 1000 Bauerfeind quality partners from all over Germany have elected their representatives to the Quality Partner Advisory Board during a secret ballot. This body, unique so far within the industry, held its inaugural meeting at Zeulenroda in Thuringia on 4 April. Michael Maisch, Maisch GmbH, Heppenheim was elected as Chairman, and Stephan Schildhauer, Paul Schulze GmbH, Berlin, as Deputy Chairman. The agenda of the first ordinary meeting of the Partner Advisory Board, which was held immediately after the election, and which was also attended by representatives from Bauerfeind, included topical items related to industry policy and also topics related to the Bauerfeind Quality Partner Programme.

Advisory Board Chairman Maisch thanked his professional colleagues for the confidence placed in him and his deputy. He explained that he saw the body as a mouthpiece for the quality partners, that would represent their interests within Bauerfeind and work towards the practical implementation and ongoing development of the Quality Partner Programme. He also explained that he saw the Partner Advisory Board as a means of motivating the market to play a part in future-proofing the sector, and also of exploiting the opportunities offered by Bauerfeind as a strong partner within the industry.

Prof. Hans B. Bauerfeind, Chairman of the Executive Board of Bauerfeind AG, thanked the members of the Advisory Board for their commitment to “campaigning alongside us. We are all lobbyists!” The more intensive the dialogue between the quality partners in the retail sector/workshop and the industry, the better able they are to state a common case and the greater the prospects of being able to usefully exploit the scope offered within health policy in the interests of all participants.

The Advisory Board and the Bauerfeind Executive Board will also be working together intensively between the ordinary meetings, which this year will be held once again in Zeulenroda (19/20 June) and during the 3rd Bauerfeind Industry Forum (5/6 November) in Berlin.
