New LumboTrain® fastener available October 1, 10/13/2008
The Bauerfeind classics LumboTrain® and LumboTrain® Lady will come equipped with a new, perforated fastener starting October 1. This fastener is considerably more breathable, which makes for even better wearing comfort. The use of micro Velcro® also makes the fastener extremely flat, but it still provides the same high degree of tensioning as before.
2008 Summer Olympic Games
Bauerfeind supplied and supported German athletes in Beijing, 08/25/2008
It was busy at the Bauerfeind Service Station in the German House in Beijing until well after midnight on the last day of the Games. A number of athletes were taking advantage of their last chance to have their foot pressure measured or were picking up their orthopedic insoles. The team’s services were in greater demand this year than at any other Games.

Prosthetics seminar for customers, 08/22/2008
Orthotists were invited to participate in a prosthetics workshop at Bauerfeind Switzerland in Oberrohrdorf at the end of April 2008. The training courses were led by Dirk Schwager, certified master orthotist CPO, and Daniel Martin, Junior Product Manager, Prosthetics. Test runner Alfred Gerner made himself available for practical applications.
