Bauerfeind’s new GenuTrain P3 support does a better job of aligning and tracking the patella. Innovative product components work together to counteract lateral drifting of the patella, to secure and relieve it, reducing the pain.
Multiple Protection for the Patella
The GenuTrain P3 anatomically contoured active support gives the patella multiple protection simultaneously. There is a triangular tension-relieving silicone insert at the top edge of the support, which minimises the external pull on the patella and provides more security during activity, resulting in less pain. Together with the kinetically integrated guide, the specially contoured viscoelastic patella insert counters lateral drifting of the patella. Furthermore, the insert — together with the Train active knit — produces a friction massage. The improved perfusion of the joint capsule and improved lymphatic drainage provided by the massage reduces swelling, relieves pain, and improves the joint’s functioning. The two friction points on the lower part of the insert have a pressure reducing effect and relieve pain. A crescent-shaped medial patella cover, referred to as a sail, is integrated into the patella recess. It prevents the patella from tilting during activity.
Excellent Wearing Comfort
The GenuTrain P3’s knit is extra stretchy, breathable and moisture-wicking, making it very comfortable to wear. The lateral seam and pressure-reducing border also contribute to wearing comfort by preventing pressure points and constriction. The extra soft knit at the sensitive popliteal region protects the skin from irritation and makes the wearer feel comfortable with simultaneous effective compression.
As with all Train supports, the GenuTrain P3 is especially effective when the wearer is active. It is used for the following indications: patellar lateralization/luxation tendency, femoropatellar pain syndrome, chondropathy, chondromalacia and after lateral release surgery. The knee support comes in seven sizes.
