Bauerfeind and SoraMed to cooperate

Lymphological competence from a single source, 10/29/2007

Bauerfeind AG – one of the leading producers of compression stockings, bandages, ortheses, orthopedic insoles and prosthetic fitted parts – and the flat-knit specialist SoraMed from Plauen have decided to enter into cooperation with each other. Board Chairman Hans B. Bauerfeind disclosed details of the cooperation at the 2nd Bauerfeind Branch Forum in Düsseldorf/Neuss on October 17&18, 2007.

SoraMed GmbH, founded in 2005, is a specialist supplier of oedema care products and provides the most comprehensive customized range of products made by the best available flat-knitting techniques in Germany today. SoraLife®, the new compression stocking developed by SoraMed for lymphological treatment exactly in line with indications, is available in a large number of individual versions and different materials.
This cooperation adds a complete range of flat-knit compression stockings for different lymphological indications – from the toe to the finger tip – to the Bauerfeind competence in the field of medical compression stockings.
SoraMed, in turn, profits from the synergy, e.g., the national and international distribution channels of Bauerfeind AG. The sales team of SoraMed will also sell the flat-knit products from Bauerfeind AG in future.
VenoTrain® profil and VenoTrain® delight are the proven, custom-made flat-knit products from Bauerfeind for efficient treatment of distinct venous diseases and for lymphatic patients.
The cooperation partners are agreed that the available product lines provide competent product continuity and as such ensure the full availability of medical aids for treating oedema disease – a distinct advantage for all medical product retailers intending to specialize in aids for lymphatic patients.
The strategic quality partnership of Bauerfeind and SoraMed supports the common target of being among the national and international leaders in the field of lymphatic care products.
